Life in Bullet Points

  • After college I taught English in Osaka, Japan for a year.
  • From 2005-2012 I made websites: Black Eyed Peas, Toyota, Amex, Derby Jackpot, and a few dozen more. During that time I also did private training for American Express, Donor’s Choose, The New York Stock Exchange, and General Electric.
  • Studied at the University of Amsterdam, New Media MA (2008-2010).
  • In 2010, I co-founded the RISK! podcast with Kevin Allison. Since then, the show has grown to over 300,000 downloads per episode! That same year we launched New York City’s first ever storytelling school: The Story Studio.
  • I was the first-ever teacher at General Assembly soon after they opened as a co-working space in 2011. I worked at GA for 2 years and developed curriculum for over 40 courses including their #1 best-selling course at the time: Programming For Non-Programmers.
  • 2013 – Started One Month with my co-founder Mattan Griffel.
  • 2016 – Began teaching at Columbia University.
