1. My Cheatsheet

I looked the list for two minutes. And instantly my buying habits changed. You can click here to view the full cheatsheet, or scroll through it right here:

Print it out and take it with you to the supermarket next time. Let me know if it helps you.

2. GoodGuide

seventh generationGoodGuide is a great site where you can find safe, healthy, green and ethical product reviews based on scientific ratings.

Here’s an example search for Seventh Generation: http://www.goodguide.com/products?filter=seventh+generation

Healthy buying habits aren’t easy to make. Take deodorant – there are over 60+ deodorant options just at Rite Aid. Who has the time to read all the ingredients? Even if you did, could you tell the difference between which chemicals are harmful?

Lucky for me, my friend Dana Nachman put together this amazing Cheatsheet of Safer Products to Buy. Who is Dana? She’s the director The Human Experiment – a documentary about the toxic chemicals in our home. Dana didn’t make this cheatsheet herself,  she worked alongside an advisory board of six scientists and green chemists to put together a list they’d be proud to recommend.
